Keep the soil consistently moist during the growing season (spring and summer). Allow the top inch of the soil to dry out before watering again. In the winter, reduce watering but don't let the soil completely dry.


Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season. Reduce or eliminate fertilization in the fall and winter.

Dieffenbachia prefers bright, indirect light. While it can tolerate lower light conditions, it may not exhibit vibrant colors or grow as vigorously.
