Learn some tips and tricks for drawing and painting plants

Inspired by the very beautiful surroundings in Löv Leaf, in this workshop you will draw leaves, plants and flowers and create your own illustration.

The workshop will start with some warm up sketches, where you will be given guidance and tips on how to draw plants.

You will then pick your own plant to study and create a drawing on watercolour paper.

You will learn some simple watercolour techniques which will be used to finish the Illustrations. The session will be guided by a framework and helpful tips, but the workshop will also be open to creativity to find your own style.

Any level welcome, if you have been creating art a little or a lot we would love to meet you and draw together.

All equipment will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own as well. Tea, coffee and soft drinks will be provided.

About the Artist:

Sian Bowman lives in the countryside of Herefordshire with her husband and two young children. Originally from Wales, with an MA in Fine Art from Aberystwyth University she became a Freelance Illustrator In 2012. She has created artwork for many picture books, book covers, educational books, editorials, card designs and prints. Sian is experienced at weaving fantasy into real settings. Her work celebrates traditional drawing and a fluidity of line.
